About The Owner
Chris Avsec
Born the youngest of four boys, Relax GC’s owner Chris Avsec spent his early years competing in team sports and working summers at area farms. Athletic scholarships provided him with a solid education. After schooling, he worked in real estate while coaching local high school football and softball teams. He often found himself helping friends with renovation projects on weekends-- designing additions and decks. It wasn’t long before he traded in his coach’s whistle for a hammer and a level and honed his construction skills.
An adventurous spirit led him to Colorado, where he managed some of the most famous ski resort properties and hotels in the state. There he was responsible for more than 60 individual properties valued at more than $200 million dollars. Eventually, he returned East to be closer to his family and settling in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where he has become deeply rooted in the community – as a partner in a local restaurant for more than 25 years and a member of the local Lions Club.
In Delaware, he has worked on some of the most recognized and successful projects in the resort region. From custom homes to multi-use condos to office buildings, he has managed several award-winning projects and has a habit of delivering them under the original budget estimates and ahead of schedule.
